Highlands/Julian’s Mtn Cruise
Kelvin with his Del Sol planned a day to head up to the Highlands and Julian Mountain for a nice cruise. There was suppose to be more cars tagging along but all ended up with them having problems with their cars or had last minute important plans to attend to.
There were a couple of times when cars would tend to go real slow and eventually we would be on their tail, so happily they pulled over to the side and let us move on by.
Since bugs and leaves were flying everywhere, there was a time when I just put my camera outside and just held the shutter release button down and taking multiple photos. I was eventually scared for my camera because of the heat outside which ended up heating up my camera pretty badly. At one point I was scared for my shutter, hate not knowing what my shutter life is.
There was a random moment when I had my arm outside enjoying the breeze when something randomly hit me, I was trying to figure out what it was but couldn’t figure it out. At the end of the trip, I opened up the rear door and found a dead grasshopper…
Reflection of my brothers license plate frame, which says, “I’d Rather Be Mountain Biking.” Me and him used to ride mountain bikes everywhere, and would just love to travel up north, down south, or in east just to get to a location to bike around and explore nature. I really do miss mountain biking but we both just sold our bikes and really regret it. Planning to buy new bikes soon and head back to that good experience that I miss feeling.
Driving past this lake made me really love traveling around, finding natural beauty wherever you go. Would love to bring a bunch of friends to a place like this just to kick it and enjoy the scenery.
Kelvin was the lead car throughout the whole cruise and at some points we would have to turn around because we ended up going in the wrong direction. But we all didn’t care, we got more time to enjoy it.
Terry in the back with a Walkie-Talkie just in-case he gets left behind. Just look at that mountain.
Terry and Sou throwing up peace signs, at one point we had to slow down may times for him. Sucked that I didn’t take a picture, but this will be a quick explanation. A Ford Focus cut off Terry and the Focus was going so slow that made Terry ending up way back, but eventually the Focus left and Terry caught back up. A couple of minutes later an other Focus was in front of him once again… but at least this one was keeping up with us.
Don’t know what this mountain was called but the scenery is just so beautiful…
On the way to the 15 South freeway entrance, pointed at Terry and told him to hop over to the other lane so I can grab a quick rolling shot of his Accord. I love how clean and simple his car is, nice height on Enkei RPF1′s.
Kelvin’s Del Sol is one nice little car, and the handling on his car is amazing… Pulling through corners like nothing and blasts through with amazing acceleration. Terry following in the back.
Random rolling shot while relaxing from the long 3 hour trip, Terry is so damn happy. Either he was happy that I was taking rolling shot or happy that he was ahead of the Focus. So clean!
So, we ended up having to pull over on the freeway, but for what? All of the cars were running perfectly fine, right? Motor wise. Yes. Wheels wise. No…
When I took this photo, everyone was looking at me and laughing, I didn’t get what was so funny…
Me and my brother were just cruising in the back until outta no where when the roads got all bad and majoring rumbling. We thought it was just the road so we continued on for around 4 – 5 minutes until we switched lanes and the car almost spun out because of a reflector. Pulled right over and Kelvin pulled in front of us. Hopped out of the car and I looked at the rear wheel and saw that it had popped and was so amazed that the tire & wheel was still in-tacked. So much white tire smoke was coming out. Me and my brother was so happy to pull over to the side safely.
Can’t believe that we were driving like this for 4 – 5 minutes… Me and my brother were surprised that the tire stayed on and it saved the rim from getting any damage, just a few scuffs inside. Looks like a bear just gashed its claw right through the wall of the tire. Thank god for forged wheels.
Overall this day with the homies ended up a lot better than we expected and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Didn’t take pictures of what happened after, but we basically just stopped by discount tires to get a new tire, of course for free! Tire insurance does pay off!
Anyways, thanks for reading and checking out my blog, hopefully you guys like this post I did!
